Leaked image's EXIF data hints an entry-level mobile phone under works as HTC Golf.
HTC is working on an entry-level smartphone, which is codenamed as Golf. Recombu got hands on a leaked image taken from an unknown HTC device and the EXIF (Exchangeable image file format) data hints that the device is codenamed - HTC Golf. However, HTC has declined to comment terming it as mere speculation.
According to the EXIF data of the image published in the report, the smartphone will have a three megapixel camera sensor. Sporting a 3.5-inch touchscreen display and 800 MHz mobile processor, HTC Golf seems like a perfect successor of the HTC Explorer.
None of the details about the specifications are confirmed but we expect announcements to happen sometime in May this year. Notably, the CTIA-Wireless 2012 convention is set to take place from May 8 and many mobile phone makers unveil their handset ranges during the event.
HTC Golf can be presumed to be an affordable and pocket friendly device from HTC.
